Chief Executive

Sally Chivers

Sally Chivers stepped into the role of Chief Executive, from her previous role as Chair of Trustees, to lead and support the highly skilled Executive Leadership team in August 2019.
She has a deep understanding of Livability’s context and history and the skills necessary to respect the legacies of John Groom and Lord Shaftesbury in meeting modern-day challenges.
She has a wealth of experience as a strategic change and business improvement manager in the public and not for profit sectors.
Sally has previously served as a Non-Executive Director for a Primary Care Trust in the East Midlands, and has been an employee of Her Majesty’s Inspectorate where she assessed Operations Management, Leadership and Diversity and Equality within the Criminal Justice arena.

Alex Botha
Executive Director of Resources

Alex Botha

Alex is the Executive Director of Resources and has been with Livability since mid-2017. Alex gained an honours degree in accounting and qualified as a chartered accountant while working for PWC. He then worked in investment banking, specialising in structured finance and project finance. After completing his MBA at London Business School, he worked as an executive consultant for a major UK construction company and in the business turnaround team of Deloitte.
Alex has spent the past 14 years working in the third sector and extensive experience across a number of executive roles and different sectors. He also holds a Masters in development management from the Open University and has held a number of trusteeships.

Executive Director of People and Change

Wande Showunmi

Wande joined Livability in March 2019 as Executive Director of People and Change. Wande gained a post graduate degree in personnel management at Middlesex University, she worked as HR advisor role with Wandsworth homes for a couple of years. Since then she has led an impressive career in human resources and people and change at a number of non-profit organisations, including Head of HR with Odyssey Care Solutions for today ( now Brandon Trust), Homes for Haringey and a dedicated role as HR Director at the National Autistic Society for 8 years. She is currently responsible for developing and executing the people strategy, culture transformation and change at Livability. Wande is a practising Christian.

Executive Director of Operations

Jane Percy

Jane is the Executive Director of Operations. Jane has worked at Livability since the organisation joined with Prospects in May 2016 and has been in her current position since March 2019. Jane has worked in care since 2001. Early in Jane’s career she was involved with the development and opening of the Alan Shearer Centre for adults and children with learning disabilities in her native Newcastle. Jane believes that all of the people we support deserve to live life to the full. Working with the people we support, Jane challenges the barriers that impact on disabled people, to enable better wellbeing. Jane is committed to ensure we deliver good quality support to the people we support.

Executive Director of Engagement and Transformation

Claire Elwin

Claire is the Executive Director of Engagement and Transformation, she has worked at Livability since May 2019. Claire began her career on the graduate scheme at Waitrose, working in learning and development. She has held a variety of senior HR leadership roles in AXA where she spent 12 years of her career developing expertise in organisational development, change management and employee engagement. Claire used this experience to co-lead an Anglican Church plant in the City of London, worked with Alpha International, helping people connect their Christian faith and work, and ran a leadership development consultancy.
Claire has an inclusive, collaborative and compassionate style. She is commercially minded and has a passion for helping organisations succeed through their people.

Executive Director of Education

Dan Alipaz

Dan was welcomed into the team in June 2019 as Executive Director of Education.
Dan is a qualified teacher with an extensive academic career with a BA in Business, Management and Marketing alongside an MA and an MPhil. Taking on the new executive role, Dan has a range of experience in university lecturing, education, consultancy and operational management.
