You can view the gallery of photo’s taken at the 2019 event at Cordsall Photographic – go to the Client Galleries and register to see Rourkies Cat & Fiddle Challenge 2019. A generous donation is made to Livability for any images purchased.
This 55-mile route will take you from Rourke Cycles in Stoke on Trent on a circular route through Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire and the beautiful Peak District National Park, including the infamous 7-mile Cat and Fiddle climb which will leave you breathless not only from the cycling, but from the stunning scenery that surrounds you!
The route will be fully sign-posted and we’ll provide all riders with links to download to their GPS as well as providing route map, cue sheets, general safety and race day information.
Everyone will receive a big welcome from Livability and Rourke Cycles not only as you rock up to the start, but at the finish where you can feast on the now legendary home-baked goodies and a cuppa!
This isn’t a race, it’s a fun run on two wheels, so whether it takes you 2 hours to complete or all day, everyone who is competent on a cycle is warmly invited to join us.
We are delighted to be the official charity partner for Rourkie’s Cat & Fiddle 55-mile Cycle Challenge that has been expertly organised since 2002 by Brian & Jason Rourke and Ian Deaville of Rourke Cycles. The ride has become a much-loved annual event for cyclists, who have had the chance to ride with legends such as Sean Kelly, Guy Martin and Jason Kenny. You never know who you may get to ride alongside or chat to post-ride.
An incredible £650k has been raised for their partner charities too, so we are hugely grateful to benefit from this event.
We are thrilled to confirm the 2020 date as Sunday 13 September – let us know if you’d like to hear when online entries open and meantime, get the date in your diary!
