Livability East Midlands supports adults with a wide range of disabilities to live life as they choose.
This individually tailored service supports people to learn and maintain lifeskills in their own home and/or to access activities of their choice in their local community, including our popular day centre. Staff will train to customers' specific needs and offer consistent support. A vibrant social calendar of events gives customers the opportunity to participate in new or favourite activities.
Livability East Midlands is an Independent Living service run by Livability, the disability charity that connects people with their communities.
Livability Independent Living specialises in providing flexible, client-driven approach to care, health and inclusion requirements for people with a wide range of needs and living situations.
Whether support is needed for an hour or two, or up to 24 hours a day, we help people to get the most out of life and their local community.
Our service works with you to understand and plan your support in way that you want, so you can achieve your goals. This could be learning a new skills, support in the home or accessing activities in the community.
We also offer day opportunities during the week at our popular day service, where you can meet new people, make friends and get out and about in the local community.
We can support clients to:

- Meeting up with friends and family
- Going on holiday
We support clients to get active, including:
- Organised walks and outings
- Playing disabled rugby
- Cinema trips
Enabling clients to keep everyday life running smoothly is something we specialise in, with a variety of independent living services to help:
- Look after the home
- Find employment
- Complete paperwork, with appropriate easy read documents and communication aids
- Manage diet and nutrition
- Meal planning, preparation and shopping
- Manage money and public transport
- Manage health and fitness
- Meet spiritual needs
- Organise and attend appointments
- Liaise with social services and other professionals
