The Livability Spinal Injury Centre provides a range of services that enable people with spinal cord injury (SCI) to transition smoothly along care and rehabilitation pathways.
Building on rehabilitation skills learnt in specialist NHS SCI services, visitors to the centre can get a range of practical support to equip them for life beyond their injury. From advice in finding accessible housing, employment and vocational training, or wellbeing and psychological care, the service works to help people with SCI get their lives back on track.
Set in the grounds of Livability Holton Lee – a wellbeing discovery centre offering a range of services – the facility was opened by HRH The Princess Royal in 2017.
Our rehabilitation services
The Spinal Injury Centre is part of Livability's specialised Rehabilitation Services for people with acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury (SCI). We work with people once they have completed the early phase of their treatment, in day and residential settings. We also share our expertise internationally.
The Livability Spinal Injury Centre is based in a broader wellbeing discovery centre called Livability Holton Lee. Good emotional and physical wellbeing are essential in any rehabilitation journey. At Livability Holton Lee, visitors to the spinal injury centre can also benefit from a range of wellbeing services.
The centre is run by Livability, the disability charity that connects people with their communities.
