Livability urgently needs your help to keep disabled and vulnerable people healthy during the coronavirus pandemic

No one could have predicted the events that have unfolded so fast in recent weeks. Livability’s services have never been more in demand, or stretched, as our dedicated care workers and nurses work around the clock on the frontline, along with all other health and social care workers.

Our capacity to care hasn’t changed due to the pandemic. We’ve opened our services to the NHS – to be part of the solution of support at this difficult time.

We’re working to keep people alive and we won’t stop caring for those in need. We believe that our services can be a lifeline for the people who use our services, the NHS and disabled and vulnerable people affected by the pandemic. But we are not immune to the virus and its effects, and our staffing ratios have reached a critical point.

Please help us to be there for disabled and vulnerable people who need us even more at this difficult time.

We are aiming to raise £1 million to be equipped for this time of crisis

By donating to Livability, you will help us to keep disabled and vulnerable people safe, healthy and well, by providing:

  • Face-to-face personalised care by our dedicated frontline care workers and nurses
  • Extra bed capacity to help more people who are ill at this crisis time, and in turn help our NHS
  • Extra equipment needed to keep staff and the people we support safe, including surgical gloves, face masks and aprons
  • Clear easy-to-read information for people with learning disabilities and emotional support to alleviate worries that can come with the slightest change
  • Practical support to help disabled people’s mental health and wellbeing, such as activities and games in Livability care homes
  • Connections for disabled people with their loved ones at this difficult time, using technology such as Amazon Alexa

Every donation we receive makes a difference. Disabled and vulnerable people need us. We need you, so that we can be there for them. We’re in it together.
