Livability wins Charity Award

Livability are the Disability category winner of the 2013 Charity Awards.

Now in its 14th year, the Charity Awards is the highest profile event in the charity calendar and is organised by Civil Society Media. All shortlisted charities were judged by an independent panel of third sector leaders as having demonstrated outstanding best practice from which other organisations can learn.

Livability and its spinal injury online teaching resource were shortlisted from hundreds of entries in the Disability category.

Livability harnessed the experience and expertise within the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS) and its affiliate societies worldwide, getting input from 332 SCI professionals.

The resource is now being used worldwide: in the first eight months after its launch our online resource, www.elearnSCI.org, was accessed by 14,365 people from 140 countries.
