Olympus KeyMed raise £5,000 at Masquerade Ball

Last Saturday, (15th March, 2014) Olympus KeyMed raised an impressive £5,000 for Livability at their special Masquerade Ball held at Cliffs Pavilion at Southend-on-Sea. Check out the photos from the event below.

Olympus KeyMed is an Essex based international consumer electronics company and a close fundraising partner to Livability; they have even selected Livability as their Charity of the Year for 2014-2015! Over 140 people attended the event and took part in raffles, roulette and a fair bit of dancing all in the name of raising money for their London Marathon runners who are running for Livability.

Initially, only Darren Cossey of Olympus KeyMed did the marathon back in 2012 and was among the first wheelchair users to compete among the main group of runners. Two years on and he has convinced 6 other colleagues to get involved including Technical Director Paul Stevens who said, ‘after Darren had completed his second London Marathon in 2013, I reached the conclusion that there was no reason (that I could think of!) why I could not take part in 2014. After that I recruited six other people and together we have a great opportunity to raise a considerable amount of money for Livability.’

A special mention must go to Lisa Adamson and the London Marathon Committee for putting on such a fun evening in support of the marathon runners and Livability.
