Volunteer roles

Our volunteers enjoy working across lots of different areas of our work

If you are interested in volunteering, here are some of the roles our volunteers enjoy:

  • Befriender
  • Driver
  • Community Ambassador
  • Collection Box Co-ordinator
  • Fundraising Event Volunteer
  • Collections Co-ordinator
  • Administrative

Join our Community Fundraising Team

Our Community Fundraisers work across the UK, supporting our many and varied services in the regions. We are looking for people to join our tribe of supporters and help us make it all add up across the country. Whether you can spare two hours a month or a day each week, we’d love to chat and see what will work best for you.

Volunteer at a Livability project

We have disability and community-based services across the country. From residential care homes, to supported living services; horticultural therapy or wellbeing – our projects always benefit from additional support. Give as little as an hour a week to be a befriender or teach someone a new skill.

Start a Friends Group

Our Friends Groups are vital ambassadors for Livability and raise funds to support our services. Members come together from all over the community. From summer and craft fayres, quiz nights to open gardens or a sponsored dance-athon, our Friends Groups have a lot of fun too.

Help at an event

Be a steward at our Christmas Carol Service, cheer people on at the London Marathon or Bournemouth Marathon Festival, help serve tea and goodies at our Cat & Fiddle 55-mile Cycle or help us market events by putting up posters in your community, we have events across the year and near you that need your support.

Don’t have much time to give? Spread the word!

Not enough hours in the day to volunteer? Why not follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share our posts with your friends and family. We regularly post new stories and updates on our social media channels. A little goes a long way…
