Victoria Education Centre ‘Sports Week’

June 27 2014

Livability’s Victoria Education Centre enjoyed huge success with their popular ‘Sports Week’ between 23rd and 27th June.

The week kicked off with a sponsored walk around Poole Park which was followed on day 2 by the much anticipated Victoriair day where students competed to see who could build and fly the best paper airplane. For the Victoriair day the VEC staff built their very own ‘aerodrome’ complete with customs, baggage cars, air hostesses and runway!

Following this the students got treated to some of fastest, coolest and most legendary cars in existence on their special Grand Prix Day. The day allowed the students to sit in and explore some £2m worth of cars – including the Batmobile no less!

On the very last day the students took part in the Golden Goggles Swimming Gala and a full Boccia tournament in the main hall. Jude Wardell-Knights, Jacob Whitehouse and Kieran Collins emerged champions for the Boccia tournament with Class JW winning the Golden Goggles and Abbie Graham winning the much sought after dance off trophy.

Overall the students and staff had yet another action packed sports week and can’t wait for next years!
